Chapter 143 of Jujutsu Kaisen titled “One More Time” saw quite a strange turn of events for Yuuji.

Yuta healed an injured Naoya using his reversed cursed magic but in return asked Naoya to notify the Jujutsu elders about Yuuji’s death.

Chapter 143 starts with Yuta healing Naoya from his grave injuries. Yuta helps Naoya under a condition of conveying the message of Yuuji’s death to the Jujutsu elders.

But it turns out that Yuuji is not dead and Yuta has used his reversed cursed technique to heal him as well. Yuuji who was unconscious from the injuries till now has just woken up from his dream.

In his vivid dream about his memories from the past, he sees himself as an infant in his father’s arms. His grandfather is quite upset with his father’s decision to stay with his mother.

The whole situation makes sense when his grandfather reveals that Yuuji’s mother, Kaori was dead. But, the scene quickly changes to a living breathing Kaori with something resembling Getou’s brain curse on her forehead.

Yuuji wakes up to see Yuta waiting by his side. Yuta explains that the rupture in his heart was healed by Yuta’s cursed powers.

While their conversation is still ongoing, Megumi appears and asks for Yuuji’s help in stopping Getou.
