Mahito’s domain expansion is successful and he is visited by Sukuna warning him not to take Yuuji lightly. Mahito shrugs off Sukuna’s warning and begins to attack Todo.
Todo, who has used a domain expansion to step into Mahito’s innate domain, is now devoid of cursed energy.
Todo takes hit after hit without being able to defend himself when Mahito lands a brutal Black Flash attack onto Todo’s stomach.
Mahito observes Todo concentrating all his cursed energy to his stomach to minimize the black flash attack damage.
With no powers left, Todo is now vulnerable and susceptible to any attack. So, Mahito plans to finish him off with his idle transfiguration.
As Mahito is about to land a hit, Todo’s locket containing pictures of Yuuji and Takada-chan distracts him and Yuuji is able to hit Mahito with a Black Flash attack.
However, Todo touches Mahito for a split second and the skin on his hand starts burning due to the touch. Todo takes rest after all the attacks have left him injured and Yuuji takes over thanking Todo for all he has done till now.
Mahito does not back down and charges into Yuuji. Mahito lands a hit on Yuuji and finally realizes his soul’s true essence.
He uses Idle Transfiguration and transforms into a Hanami-like cursed demon ready to take on Yuuji. The new form of Mahito certainly puts Yuuji into a tight spot as he tries to figure out the power his new opponent possesses.
Judging from the confidence in Mahito’s speech and the fact that he is urging Yuuji to wish his new form a “happy birthday”, this new transfiguration is definitely a more powerful one.
We just hope that Yuuji can surpass Mahito’s strength and beat his new powerful form to rescue a now injured Todo.
