In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 259, Choso sacrifices himself to protect Yuji from Sukuna’s Divine Flame. Just when Yuji’s will to fight started wavering, his brother from another mother, Todo, showed up, just like when Mahito severely injured Nobara.
JJK Chapter 260 will be released on May 19, 2024. However, the spoilers are out, and Todo seems to be back in action. How? Let’s discuss that.
Todo Revives Boogie Woogie
Yet again, Aoi Todo proves why he’s Yuji’s onii-chan. Chapter 260 begins with Todo successfully reviving his innate technique, Boogie Woogie, by replacing his left arm with a percussion instrument called Vibraslap. He has changed Boogie Woogie’s activation from clapping to the vibration of the steel rod and the wooden piece of Vibraslap.
More interestingly, this version of the technique is stronger than ever. Todo can now switch 50 times in one second; that’s one switch every 1.2 milliseconds. Todo and Yuji attack Sukuna simultaneously, who is caught off guard.
Boogie Woogie Version 2.0
Through a binding vow, Todo has put a limit to the number of switches against the number of vibrations of the Vibraslap. By doing this, Todo has expanded the effective range of Boogie Woogie and succeeded in having multiple targets.
It was Okkotsu who helped Todo adjust to the new activation and techniques of Boogie Woogie. As planned earlier, he successfully evacuated his fellow sorcerers from inside the domain and far away from the explosion.
Sukuna’s Dilemma with Todo
Meanwhile, Sukuna thinks that this situation is the most unideal for him. Todo is hard to sway because of his self-centered qualities. With the newly improved Boogie Woogie, Todo’s appearance has come at the worst time possible for Sukuna. But the King of Curses fights on, trying to counterattack Todo’s techniques while dodging Yuji’s lethal blows.
Todo tries to land a kick on Sukuna, but he dodges mid-air. Sukuna starts to deconstruct the technique while fighting; he thinks it’s impossible to counter Boogie Woogie if Todo can adjust the number of switches at his will. Sukuna finds a loophole and predicts a feint by Todo. So, he proceeds to land a hard punch, but Todo, being Todo, switches the position with Mei Mei’s crows. Sukuna realizes that Todo has once again tricked him. To which Todo says that it’s a triple threat trick; basically, it’s three tricks hidden in one. Something only Todo can pull off.
Is Satoru Gojo back?
Yuji lands a black flash and continues to tear Sukuna down. Even in this state where Sukuna’s cursed energy has decreased to the level of Yuta Okkotsu, he restores his burned-out technique and activates Domain Expansion. At that very moment, Sukuna catches a glimpse of the strongest one, the one he killed with his own hands, a silhouette of Satoru Gojo.
What happens after Gojo’s Return to JJK?
For Gege, Gojo has been troubled because of how overpowered he is and also because of how many death threats he has received for killing everyone’s darling, Satoru Gojo. Just when we thought Gege would never revive Gojo, he did. If Gojo is indeed revived, the grand finale between Gojo and Sukuna, which disappointed us all, will start once again.
However, it will be interesting to see how things turn out, as one single misstep might lead to defeat on either side, more so for Sukuna, considering he has played almost all of his cards, and Gojo had the privilege of resting, observing, and analyzing all the battles that took place after his death.
But for that, we have to wait for the next chapter, following Chapter 260.
