Episode 11, titled ”Confidential File 701, Past and Future,” has been released this week.

The last episode revealed lots of significant events from Jin’s past. Sawa was made aware that Jin was involved in the slaughter of her bloodline and confronted him. 

In Episode 11, Jin admitted that he was involved in this eradication of Sawa’s clan. Sawa was surprised to see that Asahi is not dead. Asahi and Sawa helped Elena give birth to her kid.

1. Episode 12 Speculations and Discussions

From the events that occurred in episode 11, Sawa realized that Asahi is still alive, thanks to the medical treatment provided by Jin.

However, this does not negate the fact that Jin had a part to play in the slaughter of Sawa’s clan. So we can expect to see Sawa meet up with Jin and fight him. 

We may also see Sawa spare Jin’s life, just out of pure courtesy, because he saved Asahi’s life and helped her many times in the past.

Episode 12 of the Joran: The Princess of Snow and Blood anime has been released on Wednesday, Jun 16, 2021. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

The title has not been revealed yet. Also, episodes are released on streaming platforms a week before their original air date on television.

3. Recap of Episode 11

Episode 11, titled “Confidential FIle 701, Past and Future,” starts off with Sawa confronting Jin about the past. 

Jin admits to having contributed to the butcher of the Karasumori clan. However, Sawa is quite confused about everything and is unable to process it.

Just then, the Army’s Special Forces show up at Jin’s home. He provides an underground escape course to Sawa and offers to meet her at noon. 

As Sawa goes through the passages, she is helped to stay away from the Special Forces by Elena, who is pregnant. As they arise, they are found by Rinko, who assaults Sawa with her highly sharp metal blades. 

After defending herself from the blades, Sawa realizes that they have hurt Rinko too, debilitating her enough, allowing Sawa to defeat her. 

Sawa and Elena get back to Sawa’s bookshop, where Elena uncovers that the Ryumyaku has been weakening and the enemies are moving nearer to overcome Tokugawa. 

Out of nowhere, Asahi shows up, saved by Jin, who masterminded her clinical treatment. However, Elena goes into labor and gives birth to a beautiful baby girl with help from Sawa and Asahi. 

Afterward, Sawa vows to remain with Asahi and offers her mom’s bloodstained journal as a path for them to record their future together. 

The episode ends with Sawa being overwhelmed by her feelings as she reviews her life to date and then takes her blade and heads off to meet Jin.

Joran: The Princess of Snow and Blood is an original anime produced by Bushiroad and Sonilude. Studio Bakken Record is animating it, and it is set for an April 2021 debut.

The anime takes place in an alternate history of Japan where the Tokugawa shogunate was never abolished.

“Nue”, a group of executioners hired by the shogunate, enforce the government’s rules while Sawa Yukimura is seeking revenge for her family against the Nue.
