Marvel Series ‘M.O.D.O.K’ Casts Jon Hamm as Iron Man & More

Hulu’s upcoming TV series M.O.D.O.K. just added two new cast members. Actors Jon Hamm and Nathan Fillion will be voicing the roles of Iron Man and Wonder Man, respectively.

As Marvel expands its franchise into the TV genre with many shows lined up on Disney+, one of the most anticipated out of them is M.O.D.O.K. A stop-motion adult animated series, it is scheduled for release on Hulu later this summer.

The show is created by actor-comedian Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum, with the former also lending his voice to play the series’ titular character. The series revolves around M.O.D.O.K.‘s struggles, managing his work and life following his company A.I.M. being acquired by a more prominent conglomerate, all the while dealing with his failing marriage to Jodie (Aimee Garcia).

The rest of the cast includes Ben Schwartz as Lou, M.O.D.O.K.’s socially-awkward son, Melissa Fumero as his popular daughter, and Beck Bennett will play Austin Van Der Sleet, M.O.D.O.K.’s new boss.

The show’s cast got on a virtual panel to promote their upcoming project as a part of WonderCon@Home. Almost at the end of the discussion, Jon Hamm joined the panel to inquire about the role of Iron Man and whether there are any guest stars to be expected.

Responding to Hamm’s question, Oswalt confirmed that the former would indeed be playing the role of Iron Man in the series. Right after, Blum broke in to reveal that Nathan Fillion will be playing Wonder Man, Oprah Winfrey will be playing Poundcakes, and Bill Hader will have two roles: Angar the Screamer and The Leader.

The new cast announcements show how the upcoming series is integrating Marvel’s more significant elements. Even though the panel did not divulge who will be playing the role of X-Men villain Minister Sinister, with a wide range of characters, Marvel’s animated series is bound to be a fun ride.

M.O.D.O.K. comes out on Hulu on May 21, 2021.
