The protagonist, as mentioned in a previous interview with Araki, will be a descendant of Joseph Joestar that appeared in JoJolion.
The JoJo franchise is more than three decades old, beginning with the first part “Phantom Blood” beginning its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1987. It moved to Ultra Jump in 2005 when the seventh part, Steel Ball Run, was ongoing.
JoJolion, the eighth part, ran from May 2011 to August 2021 with “JOJOLands” being announced immediately. All parts of JoJo focus on different protagonists, but the storylines and characters keep the connection between them.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has also been adapted into an anime series, with the latest edition “Stone Ocean” debuting on Netflix in December 2021. The final 14 episodes released on December 1, 2022.
