1. Chapter 109 Discussions and Predictions
“This is a story about breaking a curse,” is a line that was said by Yasuho, back in Chapter 1 that was published more than ten years ago. In addition, the title of the chapter is ‘Calamity’s end.’

He reminds Kaato of not destroying the branches of the Rokakaka plant since it’ll never appear again on earth. However, Kaato tells him that once he takes all of Tsurugi’s illness, she will be ready to take the sin of destroying the Rokakaka plant.
As the process intensifies, and when Tooru realizes that Kaato is not going to let him get away, he begs Yasuho to save him. But before Yasuho could do anything, his body completely explodes. And just like that, Tooru dies, and the curse is broken.
As Kaato hugs her grandson, they hear a siren of the ambulance. Suddenly, Tsurugi notices the blood coming from Kaato’s abdomen.
Kaato realizes that the calamity had ended on her when she was crushing the branch. She loses a lot of blood and falls down on the ground as a result of being stabbed in the abdomen.
The second part of the chapter starts with Yasuho’s narration. She explains how the Higashikata family always lived in the hope that one day the curse upon them will be lifted. She comes back to reality as the ambulance arrives.
The ambulance prepares to take Kaato, Jobin, and Norisuke to a hospital, but suddenly something catches Yasuho’s attention, and she realizes that the head doctor had snucked from the car into Norisuke’s sheet.
Soon, Norisuke’s body starts boiling, and the head doctor goes inside Norisuke’s body, shocking everyone. They realize that the calamity has not ended yet and Wonder of U was just an ability that allowed Tooru for his own benefit.
Josuke jumps in and asks Yasuho to stand aside. He then guides his invisible soap bubbles into Norisuke’s body, making the head doctor leave his body. Finally, the calamity ends, blasting Norisuke’s body to bits.
