Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, is a master of foreshadowing. This is one of the aspects that has made One Piece so popular. During the start of the series, Luffy said that his ideal crew would be a total of 10 people. With the addition of the Sea Knight Jinbei into Luffy’s crew at the end of Whole Cake Island, Luffy finally got his dream crew.
Jinbei stayed back on Whole Cake Island to let Luffy and the others escape. However, he promised Luffy that he would make it to Wano alive and be their Helmsman. In chapter 976, Jinbei finally makes it Wano in an epic entrance.
During the chapter, Luffy, Kid, & Law let a few of Kaido’s ships escape as they did not want to chase after small fries going in the same direction as them – to Onigashima. However, the tables quickly flipped when they found out that those ships weren’t escaping; they were creating distance between them to shoot down rebellion ships from a distance.
Since Orochi and Kaido have utilized Wano’s craftsmen to create many weapon factories, they have access to all sorts of dangerous weapons.
This long-range canon is just one of them. Everyone was struggling dealing with these ships as it was hard to make it across that distance so fast. This is when a water spike emerged from the ocean. The ships sank, and Jinbei, Knight of the Sea, is found on the scene.
He introduces himself to anyone who doesn’t know him as the recruit to Luffy’s crew. This shocks the other supernovas as Jinbei’s reputation is spread wide across the world as a deadly seaman. With Jinbei, a former Shichibukai, on their side, the odds against Kaido are stacking up!

Look for it; I left all of it at that place.” These words sent many to the seas, chasing their dreams, headed toward the Grand Line, in search of One Piece. Thus began a new age!
Seeking to be the greatest pirate in the world, young Monkey D. Luffy also heads toward the Grand Line in search of One Piece. With his diverse crew joining him along the way, consisting of a swordsman, marksman, navigator, cook, doctor, archaeologist, and cyborg-shipwright, this will be one memorable adventure.
