After a season filled with light humor and a relaxing slice-of-life story, Slime Taoshite 300-nen had become a comfort anime.
The series has an overpowered MC but doesn’t focus on action, with such a unique plotline, it’s no surprise that the anime is receiving a second season.
The I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level anime has just been green-lit for a second season. Crunchyroll streamed the 12 episodes of season 1 and is likely to stream season 2 as well.
Although a release date hasn’t been announced yet, the anime might not premiere before 2023. A new commemorative visual has also been revealed for the anime:
The visual shows Azusa who looks happy about the anime’s next part. Well, she is going to have another adventure where she will solve all problems and sit back with a cup of coffee to relax.
The 12-episode season 1 did not follow the manga in a linear manner and had rearranged some events to suit the anime’s storytelling. Episode 12 had started adapting volume 2.
After getting disappointed with the World Tree, Azusa will be getting a taste of a real dungeon in season 2. She will have adventures that contrast with the life she has led so far.
Since her resolve is to lead a slow life, will these new adventures disrupt her goal? There will even be a surprise wedding in the upcoming episodes.
Azusa has managed to gather a sizable family to spend her long winter nights with. Will season 2 show some additional conflicts or will Azusa be able to keep following her own guidelines.
