It seems like Devi and Paxton will return to the screens soon enough. Never Have I Ever Season 3 has wrapped up filming, shared lead actor Darren Barnet on Instagram.
The actor posted photos of his time on a Malibu beach with seagulls confirming that it was the last day of filming for Never Have I Ever Season 3. He thanked the team for working hard on the show, and fans loved it.
The slice-of-life coming-of-age story received incredible love from young adults and viewers when it premiered on Netflix in April 2020. It was renewed for a third season in August last year, and fans can expect it to premiere sometime towards the end of this year.
The upcoming season will see the lead star Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and Paxton (Barnet) become an official couple and their teen romance. In the finale, she chooses Paxton instead of Ben (Jaren Lewison), making her decision of who she wants crystal clear.
However, is it really the end of the love triangle? Viewers know that Devi still has some confusing feelings for Ben. While her finally choosing one person does sound celebratory, navigating the relationship might be tough on the teenager.
On another note, Never Have I Ever Season 3 will also bring in a new dynamic for Devi’s family. With the introduction of her grandmother, Nirmala (Ranjita Chakravarty), the Vishwakumar family now has someone who can slightly fill the void of the late Mohan, Devi’s father.
Lang Fisher, co-creator, shared with ET that she would “like to see the new dynamics of her family,” hinting at what the upcoming season would hold.
Meanwhile, there are also chances of seeing Nalini (Poorna Jagannathan) evolve and get back into the dating scene. Viewers can also expect to see the mother-daughter relationship between Devi and Nalini find more prominence in Season 3.
About Never Have I Ever
Never Have I Ever is an American coming-of-age comedy-drama television series created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher. The comedy is loosely based on Kaling’s childhood experiences in the Boston area.
The series has been described as a watershed moment for South Asian representation in Hollywood and has been praised for breaking Asian stereotypes.
The story centers around Devi Vishwakumar, a 15-year-old Indian-American Tamil girl from Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles. After Devi’s father, Mohan passes away, Devi loses the use of her legs for three months. After a socially horrible freshman year, she wants to change her social status, but friends, family, and feelings do not make it easy for her.
