Towering at a hulking height of 210 centimeters, South Terano can be easily considered one of the powerhouses in Tokyo Revengers. He made a strong impression on manga readers after he knocked down fighters like Waka, Benkei, and many others in the blink of an eye.
But can the strongest fighter of Rokuhara Tandai beat Mikey’s trusted friend and Toman’s vice leader, Draken?
South Terano is stronger than Draken. During the Three Deities arc, Draken could barely keep up with South. Additionally, Draken has nothing to stand against Terano’s Dark Impulse form, which only Mikey could beat in the entire series.
Check out how strong both characters are compared to others and whether Prime Draken can beat Dark-Impulse South in a battle.
How strong is South Terano?
We don’t get to see much of South Terano in Tokyo Revengers. But South Terano shows an impressive display of his strength in the few battles he participates in during the Three Deities arc.
His muscular physique grants him a huge advantage over others. He displays his physical strength at a tender age of 12, when he takes over Dino’s gang, Dino South. He debuts in the manga by throwing Inui toward Draken and Takemichi.
Only surprise attacks manage to overwhelm him for a while. Senju manages to knock him out with a punch because her incredible reflexes and speed initially shock him. But eventually, he does recover from her punch and beats her.
South is stronger than every character when he gives in to his dark urges. But his death at the hands of Dark Impulse Mikey clearly shows that he is weaker than Mikey by a long shot. We can easily consider him the second-strongest fighter in Tokyo Revengers.
How strong is Draken?
Draken’s position as the Vice Leader of Toman is a testament to his raw strength and fighting technique. He doesn’t achieve many feats throughout the series, but every battle he fights showcases his endless endurance and power.
Even when he’s hit on the head with a metal pipe, he defeats nearly 20 Valhalla members alone. He recovers quite quickly, even after South lands a barrage of deadly blows on him.
Moreover, Draken’s fighting skills are no joke either. When Mikey was busy one-shotting Taiju, Draken took out around 100 Black Dragon fighters within minutes.
However, to calculate his actual strength, we need to compare Draken’s power scale with other characters.
Draken could withstand South’s punches, and he even landed a solid kick on his larger opponent, almost toppling him. So, he’s definitely stronger than those who were defeated by South. This includes Waka, Benkei, Kakucho, and even Brahman’s leader, Senju.
Prime Draken vs Dark-Impulse South: Who will win?
The battle between Draken and South was unfortunately interrupted by external forces during the Three Deities arc. But that didn’t stop fans from speculating whether Prime Draken can beat South Terano or not.
The Draken we saw during the Battle of Three Deities era was strong, but he wasn’t exploiting his full potential. During this arc, we come to know that Draken has retired from gangs, and he no longer wishes to be associated with gang culture.
This means the fighting skills of this particular Draken were a little rusty. After all, he hadn’t fought for nearly two years. But despite that, he could still withstand South’s merciless beating.
Draken was considered to be in his prime when he was an active member of Toman. This Draken could tear through Hanma’s durability. He could also take on several formidable members of the Black Dragon gang simultaneously.
So what will happen if Prime Draken could fight Dark Impulse South? Will he win?
Prime Draken can barely stand a chance against base form Mikey. Meanwhile, Dark Impulse South could withstand Dark Impulse Mikey’s attacks for a while. It proves that though Prime Draken can give South a tough fight, he won’t last for long against Dark Impulse South.
