Will She-Hulk: Attorney at Law return for Season 2?

She came, she smashed the fourth wall, and she conquered. Yes, I’m talking about the incredible She-Hulk! The Jennifer Walters-led show was truly a breath of fresh air, and while it gained mixed responses, there’s room to explore so much more if given a second season.

Has Marvel renewed She-Hulk for Season 2? What chance does it have?

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has not yet been renewed for Season 2. While it has a slim chance of renewal, it might return for S2 in MCU’s Phase 6 or later.

In her interview with Extra, Tatiana Maslany clarified that she has not yet been approached for Season 2 and it might not happen anything soon. This makes sense, since the entirety of Phase 5 till Fall 2024 has been chalked out and finalized.

On the other hand, showrunner Jessica Gao told Collider that if the show gets renewed, she already has a few plans up her sleeve.

To note, no TV shows have yet been announced for Phase 6. So, we’re all forgiven for a little wishful thinking.

However, one can’t ignore that the show continuously faced online backlash, much like She-Hulk did in her own story. Opinions were all over the place, be it about the episode structure, the CGI, or Jen’s “woke” attitude.

Loki and What If…?, the only two MCU shows renewed for a second season, did not face such backlash. So one had to wonder how much of the internet trolling will affect She-Hulk’s future.

Another important point to consider is that most of the Marvel Disney+ shows have been used to either launch new characters or set up ground for a bigger theatrical release.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law may have to sit back with Hawkeye, Moon Knight, and Ms Marvel, as titles that won’t get a Season 2. On the flip side, we may see these characters on the silver screen.

Still, She-Hulk’s episodes have been quite light and fun—a welcome change from MCU’s otherwise heavy themes and loaded arcs. I wouldn’t mind having the show back as a comedic filler every now and then.

In the meantime, I’ll keep my fingers crossed about She-Hulk appearing in Daredevil: Born Again. Here’s to hoping!
