Pokémon: Does the new Pokémon series have Pikachu?

Significant changes are coming to the world of Pokémon! Get ready for the premiere of a brand-new animated series featuring an original story and characters, including a girl and a boy, as they set off on action-packed adventures across the Pokémon world.

This new series will highlight popular Pokémon like first partners Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games.

Fans can look forward to these characters’ incredible journeys as they unravel the mysteries of the Pokémon world, experiencing everything from exciting Trainer battles to fun Pokémon encounters.

The Pokémon series is going through unprecedented times because of the imminent departure of Ash and Pikachu. Since their goal of becoming world champions has been completed, the protagonists will bow out of the anime soon. New heroes Liko and Roy will take the reins in the future, but they won’t be the only ones.

But the main question is, Will Pikachu be in the New Pokémon?

Yes, Pikachu is there in the new Pokémon series.

A new Pikachu will continue as the Pokémon series mascot and have a central role. The official Pokémon UK channel revealed that it won’t be Ash’s Pikachu this time. The new one will belong to a character called Professor Friede, who will accompany Liko and Roy in the Paldea region.

The electric-type Pokémon even has its name: Captain Pikachu. The first look at Professor Friede and Captain Pikachu shows both donning aviator gear. The professor wears goggles and a costume with a pilot’s aesthetic, while Pikachu is wearing a captain’s hat.

They will accompany the new heroes to learn about the secrets of Liko’s pendant and Roy’s Poké Ball.

With that, you’ve got your answer as to whether Pikachu will be in the new Pokémon series.

For those of us who grew up with Ash and Pikachu, it’s sure to be an emotional goodbye, especially with the planned commemorative farewell.

For 27 years, Pikachu has been synonymous with the Pokémon franchise,” Taito Okiura, vice president of marketing for The Pokémon Company International, said in a statement, “and we look forward to seeing these beloved Pokémon continue to have a significant presence in the animated series and remain an icon for the brand.”

While we don’t know what those special episodes will contain, we’ll likely get cameos from some of the series’ most memorable characters. Misty, Brock, Dawn, Serena, Pokémon like Charizard, Greninja, Lucario, and many more. I can’t wait to cry over another Ash, and friends farewell in the year of our Lord Arceus 2023.

Following Ash’s historic win as Pokémon World Champion, fans can commemorate his journey with memorable episodes to conclude Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series.
