Is Peacemaker stronger than his dad, The White Dragon?

I’m still reeling from everything that happened in Peacemaker episode 6 — Butterfly-Goff possessing Song, finding out Murn’s true identity, and last but not the least, both The White Dragon and the Butterflies hunting down Peacemaker.

Chris was never Auggie’s favorite, and as teased in episode 6, getting rid of his son has long been overdue. Now whether Peacemaker likes it or not, he’s going to have a face-off with his father, The White Dragon. I can’t help but wonder, who’s going to make it out alive?

Based on physical capabilities alone, Peacemaker should technically be stronger than The White Dragon. But when The White Dragon’s suit is taken into consideration, Peacemaker and his patriotic “uniform” don’t stand a chance.

Seeing as I’m rooting for Peacemaker (something I did not imagine doing at the end of The Suicide Squad), I have a few points that prove why Chris may defeat his father.

Peacemaker is Physically Stronger Than The White Dragon

First off, Peacemaker is at the peak of his health and has jacked himself up to be the perfect killing machine. Besides this, he is canonically quite strong when it comes to hand-to-hand combat fighting and can wield almost anything as a weapon.

Considering both Auggie and Chris are humans and don’t have any other enhancements, Chris’ physical capabilities alone should be enough to defeat Auggie.

But as we know, Chris won’t be facing Auggie, he’ll be fighting The White Dragon. So while he may be able to throw some fatal punches in there, he will have to devise another way of beating his father’s almost impenetrable suit.

The White Dragon’s Biggest Asset is His Suit

There’s a reason I said “almost” impenetrable suit. In the comics, The White Dragon’s suit makes him completely invulnerable.

Sure, it had all sorts of enhancements that could make his enemies weep. But the real reason the suit is The White Dragon’s biggest asset is because it protects him from head to toe, making any of his enemies’ attempts of hurting him futile.

In fact, the only reason The White Dragon was killed is because Plastique managed to make a hole in his suit and caused an explosion in his mask to finish him off.

But The White Dragon’s suit in Peacemaker is not quite like the comics. It looks extremely similar, but Vigilante points out that the fabric used causes a lot of blind spots that can easily come to bite Auggie in the rear. I refuse to believe that Vigilante made that comment without it having consequences in the coming episodes.

Resolving Peacemaker’s Daddy Issues

Chris’ history with his abusive father is one of Peacemaker’s driving forces. Despite Auggie being complete prick, Chris is unable separate the (problematic) love he has for his father, from standing his ground and doing the right thing.

Chris’ troublesome introspection cannot be for nothing, and I believe as part of his character development, he has to defeat The White Dragon. He’s not going to enjoy it, but part of being a real superhero is doing the right thing even if it hurts you.
