Palworld Cross Play Status | Does it support cross play and cross save?

Palworld, or Pokemon with guns, as it is popularly known for its unique gameplay and features is an action/adventure video game. This open world adventure is populated with animal-like creatures termed “Pals”, which players can capture and command for base building, traversal, and combat.

The interesting aspects of the game has literally everyone buying it to play along with their friends, but many may find it problematic if they have the game on different platforms.

Is Palworld cross-platform?

Palworld has crossplay between the Xbox Series X|S console version and the Xbox Store PC version but unfortunately, neither of these versions support crossplay with Steam version of the game.

Players with Steam version of Palworld can only play with other gamers who also have the game on Steam. This is because Steam and Xbox Game Pass run different version of the game due to certification issues with the Xbox version, as acknowledged by the game developers on their official discord server.

Does Palworld have cross-save?

Palworld supports cross-save through Xbox cloud saves only for the Microsoft version of the game. Therefore, Steam versions of the game cannot be cross-saved.

This issue also seems to exist due to the certification issues with the Xbox version of the game.

Where can I play Palworld?

Palworld is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S for purchase at a price of $26.99. Unfortunately, it cannot be played on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch as of yet.

However, looking at the initial success and current popularity of the game it does not seem that far-fetched for it to soon be available across all platforms starting with PS5.
