2023 just got a major upgrade! The latest Naruto announcement had me jumping for joy. It’s been ages since we had new Naruto content to feast our eyes on, but now the wait is finally over.
The Naruto franchise’s official website announced on March 9 that in honor of its 20th anniversary, four “brand-new” episodes of the Naruto TV anime would be broadcasted starting in September. In July, some original anime episodes will also be rerun in Japan.
Last October, Studio Pierrot dropped a 10-minute video called “Road of Naruto.” It was a walk down memory lane, with all the best moments from the past 20 years of the Naruto anime, plus some new animation.
They also released three visuals that showcased different eras of the series. The closer we get to the anniversary, the more the fans are getting fed with fresh content.
Expectations for the Four New Episodes – Release Date and Plot Details
There has yet to be any news on the exact date of the return of the Naruto anime. It’ll likely be sometime between September 17 and September 24, as these are the two closest program slots to the actual anniversary date.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. What’s the plot going to be for these new episodes? Well, there are no details on the plot of the new episodes yet, but it’s still early days, and official previews aren’t usually released until closer to the air date in Japan.
Some fans are complaining that we might get more filler-type content on the anniversary. But what else do they expect? Naruto’s story is over, so it’s not like the plot can be changed just for the anniversary.
What is the anniversary date of the Naruto anime?
Can you believe the Naruto anime is about to turn 21 this October? It’s been around for two decades and is still one of the most popular anime series ever!
The show premiered in Japan in 2002 on October 3, and it’s been a total hit ever since. The anime titled “Naruto” covered the first part of the manga and aired until 2007.
Then, after a timeskip, the series continued as “Naruto: Shippuden,” covering Part 2 of the manga. It ran until 2017, when the show finally ended.
Other Major Announcement: Boruto Part 1 Will Be Ending Soon
News about the Boruto TV adaptation was also released, along with the Naruto anime coming back. Surprisingly, it will reach the end of Part 1 sooner than people anticipated.
Episode 293 of Boruto: Naruto the next generations, which is set to come out on March 26, will mark the end of Part 1.
The good news is that Part 2 is already in production, so we won’t have to wait too long to see what happens next in the story. It’s been a long time coming, and fans have been speculating about the end for a while now.
