All hail Salma Hayek for probably the best Eternals hint fans could ask for. While a Disney employee did try to stop her, she revealed quite a significant story angle in the highly-anticipated star-studded Marvel movie, Eternals.
As per Screenrant, Hayek teased fans about the immortal superheroes’ overarching plan in a press visit in January 2020. And no, it’s not only protecting the Earth from Deviants. It’s much more than that.
Hayek plays the group leader, Ajak, who is the only one in contact with the Celestials. Ajak is also the earliest known Eternals. They aren’t known to fear anyone or anything, except, well, magic.
Tony Stark’s sacrifice made the Avengers win, but it opened a whole lot of trouble that now calls upon the Eternals to interfere.
As Hayek said, quotes by Screenrant,
We are here because we are trying to protect humanity from the Deviants and maybe give them the strength to be able to protect themselves on their own.

She also described the group’s mission statement as “a more Mexican exaggerated style.” According to what Hayek said, it means that Deviants aren’t the only ones that Eternals will be focusing on.
It also offers a major hint, something Marvel fans have been waiting for since the movie’s announcement. Also, let’s not forget the director revealed the film would have two post-credit scenes and not one.
After all, Phase 4 is just beginning, and the multiple villains set to appear won’t only be destroyed by the Avengers.
In over 25 movies in the franchise, the Eternals were hardly ever mentioned, let alone seen.
Created by the Celestials having incredible superpowers, they were ordered to never interfere with humans or whatever troubles they spin up, no matter how dangerous until it concerned the Deviants.
Eternals will finally be released on November 5, 2021.
