Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is finally out globally, and it has been receiving rave reviews from both critics and players alike. The Remake already set an incredible precedent for the series, but Rebirth not only manages to live up to it but surpasses it too.
While millions of players are installing Rebirth onto their PS5 consoles, there are millions more who are wondering if Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will arrive on other consoles later in the future. In regard to that, there’s both good news and bad news.
1. Is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth coming to PC?
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will not be coming to PC anytime soon. But Rebirth’s trailers feature a small text at the end stating, “Not available on other platforms until at least 29/05/2024,” which means it’ll most likely come to PC after that.
But that doesn’t mean that the PC version will come the very next day. If it follows suit with VII Remake then it’ll be a while before we see an official PC version since VII Remake Intergrade came out on June 10, 2021, and it was ported to PC on December 16th of that year.
2. Is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth coming to Xbox?
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will unfortunately not be coming to Xbox. Past releases like Final Fantasy 16 and Final Fantasy VII Remake are yet to arrive on Xbox, so it’s more than likely that Rebirth will follow suit with its predecessors.
While this is indeed disappointing for the millions of Xbox fans out there, it was expected since Rebirth’s predecessor, VII Remake hasn’t been released on Xbox yet. This can very well change in the future, but for now, Xbox players can only hope it comes soon.
3. When will Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s PlayStation Exclusivity deal end?
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s exclusivity deal with PlayStation seemingly ends on May 29, 2024. In the trailers for the game, a little text pops up at the end stating that the game is “Not available on other formats until at least 05.29.2024,” which very clearly hints at a PC release.
While the date does confirm when Rebirth’s exclusivity on PlayStation ends, unfortunately, it’s not guaranteed that the game will release on PC the very next day. Remake took a while to come to PC after its initial release, so if this game follows suit, then PC players will have to wait for quite some time.
4. Does FFVII Rebirth come with FFVII Remake?
There is a twin pack available on the PlayStation Store that includes both Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and it costs $99.99. There’s also a Digital Deluxe Edition of this pack, which includes more goodies and costs $119.99.
This pack is perfect for players who want to start their FFVII journey from the beginning. But if the price is a dealbreaker for you, then you can directly jump onto Rebirth, as it includes a recap of the events of FFVII Remake and some elements of Crisis Core so that you’re up to date with the lore.
5. Is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth the last game of the VII Remake series?
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is not the last game of the Remake series, and a third part will arrive in the future to wrap up the trilogy. While details are still unclear about when it’ll come out, it’ll surely conclude Cloud Strife’s journey in an epic fashion.
The Remake saga has always been planned as a trilogy since it was announced. The ending of Rebirth poses a lot of questions and loose threads, which will undoubtedly be wrapped up in the upcoming conclusion. But it’ll be a while before we see the third game arrive.
