The dystopian HBO sci-fi drama Westworld is already one of the most exciting shows globally. But with the latest speculation of the supposedly dead Dolores being alive, the anticipation manifolds into ten.
A set video of Westworld’s upcoming season is doing the rounds on social media. The video shows (what looks like) Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores in her light-blue Western costume, walking past the dead bodies on an NYC street.
Viewers don’t get a clear face picture, but if the outfit and the posture are anything to go by, the person is Dolores Abernathy, the first and the oldest host.
The video was posted by Tiktok user @mickmicknyc; the footage confirms multiple theories having the same essence – Dolores can’t be dead.
This completely goes against the producers and cast members, consistently assuring that Dolores’ sacrifice is real and she is indeed dead.
Even if we take both of these into consideration, the possibilities of Woods returning as Dolores are many.
A newly-created Dolores, a dream, a copy of Dolores, a CGI hallucination, a flashback, or even just for promotional use – the Dolores-outfit actor could just be anything among many.
Westworld is synonymous with a thrilling roller coaster ride – one never knows what will happen next.
The same was true with the season 3 ending where Woods’ Dolores sacrificed herself after taking down Rehoboam, the quantum computer that “plans” people’s future.
While season 4 is still months away from being released, fan theories for it never stop.
Fans are in a dilemma when hoping to see Dolores return in Westworld.
On one side, her death or sacrifice might be considered a low blow just to push things forward in the story, or she can be back for good because she ultimately is the main character.
Fans will have to wait and see if it really is Dolores or someone else once the show is released.
Westworld season 4 still does not have a confirmed release date, but reports suggest it may release in May 2022.
