My Hero Academia has a plethora of unique characters who fans have come to know and love. Among them all, UA High School faculty member, Shota “Eraserhead” Aizawa is one of the most noteworthy.
In addition to teaching the disorderly band of young heroes in Class 1-A, his upfront manner and sleepy nature, makes him interesting and well-liked.
However despite being a dedicated teacher, and a great hero, there’s almost no information about his life outside of the U.A.
1. Is Aizawa married? Does he have a daughter?
Shota Aizawa is a Professional Hero that goes by the name Eraserhead. He is also the Homeroom teacher for Class 1-A in U.A. High.
There’s little information about Aizawa’s life outside of the U.A. Due to this, it is unknown whether he is married or has any children.
However, due to his surprisingly nurturing character and Quirk, he has been acting as Eri’s guardian and a foster father.
2. Who is Aizawa?
Shota Aizawa is a Professional Hero that goes by the name Eraserhead. He is also the Homeroom teacher for Class 1-A in U.A. High.
He is a very stern and reserved man who has great expectations for his students. He is very logical and does not believe in maintaining a clean-cut appearance or filtering his words or ideas for others.
Despite his apathetic traits, he genuinely cares about his students and will go to great lengths to protect them.
He has also expressed belief in his students on multiple occasions and is confident that none of them would be swayed by Villains.
Eri is the granddaughter of the Shie Hassaikai’s boss. Due to her rewind quirk, she was the principal source of Kai Chisaki’s operation to manufacture a Quirk-Destroying Drug.
After her rescue, she still reeled under Kai’s influence and she was unable to smile and had no experience of being happy. This started changing after she came to live in the U.A. faculty under the guardianship of Aizawa-sensei.
4. Is Eri Aizawa’s daughter?
After Eri was unable to control her Quirk after Izuku defeated Overhaul, Aizawa was brought to the scene to erase Eri’s out-of-control quirk.
Since then, he has been a guardian for Eri, taking care of her as she lives with the U.A. faculty in the dorms.
Even though Eri is not his real daughter, Aizawa appears to have a soft spot for Eri and is seen attending to his duties as Eri’s guardian and foster father without complaint.
Due to Eri’s severe psychological trauma and physical torture at the hands of Overhaul, he has been working to rehabilitate Eri while she remains under his guardianship.
To this end, he utilizes the extremely positive social influences of Izuku and Mirio to help her gain better control of her emotions.
Aizawa is very attentive and involved in his role as a provider, even outside of his duties as a teacher and mentor.
5. About My Hero Academia
My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters additionally collected in 37 tankōbon volumes as of February 2023.
It follows a quirkless boy Izuku Midoriya and how he backed the greatest Hero alive. Midoriya, a boy who has been admiring heroes and their ventures since the day he was born, came into this world without a quirk, where almost everybody is born with one.
On one fateful day, he meets All Might the greatest Hero of all time and discovers that he was quirkless as well. With his diligent attitude and unwavering spirit about being a hero, Midoriya manages to impress All Might. He is chosen to be the heir to the power of One for All.
