Shortly after Khronos released Vulkan 1.3 specifications after a 2-year process, companies were quick to modify their GPUs to support the graphics API.
NVIDIA’s Ampere & Maxwell series, Intel’s UHD & Iris Xe, and AMD’s RDNA1 & RDNA2 had updated their drivers within a week of the announcement.
Khronos announced that Intel’s Arc Alchemist mobile series is now part of the Vulkan 1.3 compatible GPUs list.
The Xe-HPG series, Intel’s first discrete gaming GPU architecture, codenamed “Arc Alchemist,” also contains desktop variants. However, there is no information on whether these will support Vulkan 1.3.
The list of supported SKUs is as follows:
The list only contains mobile SKUs at the moment.
The Arc Alchemist range is one of the most powerful processors on the market, consisting of some budget-friendly and high-end variants. The GPUs are expected to be on par with NVIDIA and AMD.
Only A350M, A370M, and A730M are readily available out of the total five. Since all mobile SKUs from the lineup are wholly compatible, we can expect the other two models to launch soon.
