Insomniacs After School anime stays true to the manga’s storyline with only a few minor cuts. While the adaptation may cover a lot of material, it should be able to do so without rushing through the story.
I saw some Volume 6 scenes in the opening, and now I’m a little concerned about the pacing if they’re going to adapt all the way to Chapter 54.
But so many chapters have still shots and no dialogue, so maybe it’ll work out.
And just because something is in the opening doesn’t mean it’ll get adapted in the same season. So, I will keep my hopes up and trust that the pacing will be fine.

If you’re into cozy vanilla romance and want a good slice of life, you have to watch Insomniacs After School. It’s a well-executed take on a shared affliction, strangers-to-lovers romance that’s just too sweet to resist.

Insomniacs After School (Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia) is a manga series by Makoto Ojiro. It started serialization in the Big Comic Spirits magazine in May 2019 and has been collected into 11 volumes as of January 2023.
