The next GTA Game Will Unlikely Be Called GTA 6, Says Leaker

The Internet went into a frenzy the moment Rockstar Games finally confirmed that it’s working on the next Grand Theft Auto game. Enthusiasts with an insatiable hunger to get out of the clutches of Los Santos were stoked to find out that the development of the next mainline entry was “well underway.” 

While this announcement was music to the years of fans who were waiting for over nine years to get any official word, unfortunately, it did not reveal a lot about GTA 6.  

Therefore, whether you like it or not, relying on leakers is the only way to gain insight into the future title. Similarly, if speculation spread by an insider is anything to go by, then GTA 6 might be witnessing a name change. 

As reported by industry insider Matheusvictorbr, GTA 6 might not follow the traditional numerical title approach and will likely be called Grand Theft Auto Vice. This further solidifies rumors that the upcoming game will be set in Vice City and allow Rockstar to portray the name as ‘GTA VIce.’ 

Here, Rockstar can enjoy a little play on words by having twofold uses for the letters ‘VI.’ Besides being the beginning of the term “Vice,” the said letters can also be utilized to symbolize the number six in Roman numerals. 

On top of this, Vice could have also been used to be associated with crime as “vice unit” is a police division specializing in dealing with drugs and other illegal activities. 

But then again, since Rockstar is yet to confirm the name of the next entry in the GTA franchise or any detail for that matter, it is vital you take most information with a grain of salt.  

Games like GTA 6 will always steal the spotlight and end up as the center of attention. Therefore, it’s best not to swallow any hearsay hook, line, and sinker because all the rumors that are running wild now are unlikely to be backed by official announcements.
