Naruto vs Boruto: Who will Win?

After one hundred and eighty episodes, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations finally brings us Naruto and Boruto’s face off.

Both Boruto and Naruto seem to be getting stronger and more experienced by the minute. While Naruto spends his time attending to his responsibilities as the 7th Hokage, Boruto trains harder to increase his strength and power.

The anime has created an interesting situation surrounding Naruto and Boruto’s fight.

Naruto may have his years of experience and training, but can Boruto use his brains and newly learned skills to defeat his father?

Let’s take a look at the fight together.

When Do They Fight?

The fight between Boruto and his father takes place in episode 181 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

Who Wins The Fight?

Since the beginning of Boruto, I’ve always wanted to see Naruto engage in a tense battle with his son.

Even though he has been busy with his duties and responsibilities, he’s started to pay more attention to Boruto.

Boruto on the other hand, has been working hard to get better and upgrade his skills, especially after the humiliating beatdown at the hands of Deepa.

When the fight starts, Boruto surprises us all by using much more advanced techniques in battle.

Naruto fights back even stronger, but we all notice something different about his defence. He’s somehow able to suck up the Jutsus using his arm.

To our and Boruto’s surprise, Naruto is using a prosthetic arm engineered by the science department. The arm had been built to resemble Momoshiki, a villain who can absorb and amplify attacks.

Boruto decides to investigate the arm because of it’s suspicious nature. Unfortunately, this distraction allows Naruto to appear behind Boruto, knocking him to the ground and thus winning the battle.

Naruto cheated to win. This test was supposed to examine the fighter’s natural ability and strength, not their abilities to use external tools. Boruto made it clear that nobody should bend so low inorder to win a battle.

Who Would Win In a ‘Real’ Fight?

So then who would win if Naruto had not used this arm?

Naruto is the most powerful character in the Naruto universe. Merely by title alone, we can tell the difference in power between the two.

Naruto is the Seventh Hokage and strongest ninja in the leaf village, while Boruto is currently a genin, the lowest rank after academy apprentice.

Additionally, Naruto is definitely brighter than Boruto in battle. He has far more experience and can think quickly on his feet, meaning he would still defeat Boruto, with a prosthetic hand or without.
