Max and Murphy make plans for the future, and everything seems to be going according to plan at the fundraiser, with Murphy and Darnell posing as a happy couple. Meanwhile, Josh concocts his own plan, inserting himself in the middle of everything.

5. Episode 12 Recap
Josh Wallace learns that Murphy cut a deal to get out of her trial. On the other hand, Murphy and Max prepare to tie the knot and bring down a drug empire simultaneously to keep her end of the deal. Darnell sets Trey up to be busted with the drugs and patches things with Sarah.
Everything seems to be going well at the fundraiser, but then McKay demands that Murphy stays for the meeting with him, without Darnell. This wrench in the plan spins everything out of control when Wallace informs McKay of Murphy’s mission to bring him down.
McKay tries to choke her to death, but Felix and Max rush in to save Murphy. As they escape through the elevator, Murphy breathes a sigh of relief only to realize that McKay shot Max in the torso. Felix and Murphy rush Max to the hospital, where he dies, and Murphy says her goodbyes.
6. About In the Dark
In the Dark is an American crime drama series, created by Corinne Kingsbury, premiering on the CW in April 2019.
The series follows the life of Murphy Mason, a visually impaired woman who struggles with an alcohol dependency. Her life changes the day she experiences a violent mugging, leading to her discovering the death of her friend. She then makes it her life’s purpose to solve the murder of her friend.
The series was renewed for its fourth and last season which premiered on June 6, 2022.
