Fighting Achilles is just one of the four boss battles against the corrupted heroes in Immortals Fenyx Rising. To beat Achilles, you need to have quick reflexes as well as healing on your side.
Some of the most iconic fights in Immortals Fenyx Rising are against the wraiths of the corrupted heroes. These heroes were at one point in time on the good side and supposed to fight the Typhoon for the Gods.
Such is the fate that these heroes were lured and corrupted by him, and they now torment us in the game. Until you defeat the wraith of Achilles, he will continue to show up unannounced to hinder your progress.
1. Achilles Boss Fight: Where To Find?
You can’t just show up hoping to take on the wraith of Achilles by surprise. To initiate the boss fight, you need to have met the corrupted hero in the open world (this will happen sooner than later).
After encountering Achilles in the Open World in Immortals Fenyx Rising, you can take on the Achilles boss fight as part of the quest ‘A Real Heel.’
This is the only time that the wraith boss battle is part of a quest. None of the other three corrupted heroes will fight you as a part of any quest.
After starting the quest, go to the Corrupted Hero Vault and roll the balls onto the pads and pull the lever to enter the room where you’ll face Achilles. Be aware taking on Achilles is harder than it sounds, so be prepared!
2. How to Beat Achilles in Immortals Fenyx Rising?
First things first, to be ready for the Achilles boss fight, be equipped with multi dodges or an axe/sword dodge and healing abilities. These will come in very handy when you are taking on the wrath of a Greek hero!
The key trick to beating Achilles in Immortals Fenyx Rising is to parry his attacks and to time your attack combo. Dodge just when Achilles glows red, and when he goes down, go in with your attack.
Achilles has a pretty straightforward fighting pattern, so understanding this and timing your attack is relatively easy. Don’t try to go all in one go, though. He will get up and then whip you. Thus, the best way would be to take him on is through small light combos.
3. Rewards Earned After Defeating Achilles
Defeating Achilles in Immortals Fenyx Rising will stop Achilles from tormenting you in the game world during other quests. Other than that, sadly, Achilles does not drop any other loot after you defeat him.
I think you should take him on as soon as you meet him in the game universe as it would mean one less corrupted wraith to worry about.
4. About Immortals Fenyx Rising
Sharing the same developer DNA with Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Immortals Fenyx Rising is yet another role-playing game by Ubisoft that will transcend you back in time.
The game takes players back to the days of Greek mythology where the gods have been captured by an abhorrent monster, Typhon.
In this gutsy adventure-packed game, it is only Fenyx, the “forgotten” hero who can fight the brawny, nerve-racking foes and be the last ray of hope to save the Gods.
