I’m Standing on a Million Lives, the staple isekai 2020 anime, has renewed the series for another season. Despite its average viewer ratings, the producers were quick to announce a second season, perhaps to revive the show.
I’m Standing on a Million Lives is about Yotsuya Yuusuke, Shindou Iu, and Hakozaki Kusue, who magically get transported to a mysterious unknown land where they meet the “Game Master.”
They are given timed quests, which they must complete in order to survive. The three are also given specific roles that grant them powers, hence helping them complete the missions.
Trapped between their hectic high school life and the mysterious world, the three must take on the monsters from the fantasy world to protect their real from these threats.
I’m Standing on a Million Lives might seem like a generic isekai anime but, the fact that the protagonists are capable of teleporting to and from their own world makes it stand out.
1. Release Date
Season 2 of I’m Standing on a Million Lives will release in July 2021. The announcement was made on Twitter by the official account of the anime. Though the release date isn’t set yet, we can expect season 2 to air by the first or second week of July.

Season 1 Ends at Vol 3, Chap 12, and season 2 will resume from chapter 13 of the manga. There are 11 volumes in the manga, and it is still ongoing so, there is plenty of plot waiting to be adapted into the anime.

I’m Standing on a Million Lives is a manga written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Akinari Nao. The manga began serialization in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine on June 9, 2016.
The story revolves around Yotsuya Yuusuke, who is transported to another world along with his classmates Shindou Iu and Hakozaki Kusue.
Mythological creatures inhabit this new world. As soon as they arrive, they are greeted by the Game Master, who then grants them a time-limited quest.
Shindou and Hakozaki are given the roles of a Magician and a Warrior to aid the quest. But Yotsuya is randomly assigned the role of a Farmer.
Hence they begin their Isekai adventure for the three, with Yotsuya’s farmer class being the odd one. They must do random quests and defeat monsters they encounter.
