Episode 2 of I’m Quitting Heroing, “Strive to Ease the Burden on Your Future Self!” is the latest installment of the anime.
Leo’s efficient strategy to ease Shutina’s burden came as a pleasant surprise to the general. After disguising himself as an assistant of the elite four, Leo takes his first step towards becoming an essential member of the demon queen’s army.
Exhausted from doing everything herself, Shutina also recognizes Leo’s innovative strategy and decides to trust her subordinates to carry out some of her tasks. After earning Shutina’s trust, how will Leo conquer the hearts of the generals? We’ll find out in the next episode.
Episode 3 Discussion & Speculation
After helping Shutina, the next general who needs Leo’s help is Lili, who is heading towards the Rarugo Sea for a logistic mission. The food and other resources are running out in the castle, and she must complete her task successfully.
Lili’s proposal for the completion of her mission is nothing more than a drawing of her and some of her army men with the caption, “everyone must smile and have a good time.” Since she clearly lacks the maturity to carry out this mission, Leo must accompany her to ensure that things go smoothly.

Episode 2 Recap
Leo wakes Shutina up by changing his voice to sound like Echidna’s. The general is clearly exhausted but wakes up in a jolt after hearing her queen’s voice.
Leo notices how overwhelmed she is with her work and tells her that her duty is to be a supervisor. She must train her subordinates and let them do the jobs instead of tackling everything independently.
After getting ready for the day, Leo notices that since he wiped out most of the army, the workload has fallen on Shutina because no one else is qualified enough to do it. To help her out, he decides to take over the task of replenishing the mana reactor that runs all the castle’s magic items.
Previously, only Shutina was able to carry this out due to the wavelength of her magic being compatible with the reactor. Leo assures her that he can match her wavelength and carry out the task for her in two and a half hours.
Shutina comments that it only takes her an hour to do it but lets Leo take over since it’s his first time.
Leo steps out of Shutina’s office in disguise and spots a low demon, Dianette, who seems concerned for Shutina. After 30 minutes, he returns to the office and tells the general that the work has been taken care of.
He then proceeds to take a long break that pushes Shutina to her edge. She threatens to fire him, but suddenly, Dianette knocks on the door and lets herself in.
She reveals a necklace and tells Shutina that the pendant allows her to match the general’s wavelength. This then leads to her magic being capable of replenishing the mana reactor. Dianette thanks Leo for the device, and he praises her for carrying out the task perfectly.
After telling her that he’d get some more pendants for the other servants, Leo dismisses Dianette. Shutina is surprised at Leo’s efficient plan and apologizes for being rude to him. Leo smiles and tells her that she must summon him if she ever needs his help.
That occasion soon arrives as Leo makes his way to Shutina’s office late at night. She then explains to him how the castle is running out of food and resources. Lili, the general, assigned to the logistics department, is given the task of purchasing some essentials from the Rarugo Sea.
However, her mental level is similar to that of an elementary grader, and hence, Leo must accompany her to make sure that everything goes well.
