Episode 1 of I’m Quitting Heroing “My Next Interview’s at the Demon Queen’s Palace!” is the latest installment of the anime.
After getting rejected by society, the world’s strongest hero, Leo Demonheart, seeks refuge in the army of the demon queen, Echidna. Despite his overwhelming strength, the queen refuses to take him.
He manages to meet with the Elite Four, the queen’s strongest generals and gives them a presentation of why he will be an asset to their team. The generals seem to be on board with the plan and are even excited to have him.
After winning over the Elite Four, how will Leo convince Echidna to hire him? We’ll find out in the next episode.
Episode 2 Discussion & Speculation
Now that Leo has finally made it into the army, he needs to be officially accepted by the queen. This is going to be a laborious task since she was totally against him joining her forces.
I think that Leo will have to hide his identity from the queen as well as the demons for a while because they might kick him out after discovering that he’s the hero who destroyed them.
It’s also going to be interesting to see how Leo will hold up during his probation period and how he’ll help the demons to rebuild their army.

Episode 1 Recap
The episode begins with Leo entering a tattered castle where the demon queen, Echidna, and her Elite Four reside. He quietly enters, and after closing in some distance between himself and the queen, he flamboyantly introduces himself as a hero.
The five demons are shocked since he is the one who’s responsible for their downfall. Leo continues his introduction and announces that he wants to join the demon army. He shows some graphs and stats as a presentation and expresses how qualified he is to join them.
Of the four generals, Edvard and Mernes consider his offer, but Echidna violently rejects him. He tries to offer his help to rebuild the army but constantly gets rejected. The generals recall how each of them was defeated by Leo and can’t help but marvel at his physical and magical strength.
By taking advantage of their favourability towards him, Leo manages to meet with the four in secret. He explains how he set out on the quest of defeating the demon queen with a team, but none of them could keep up with him.
He abandoned them all and defeated the queen as well as her army in no time.
After his victory, he believed he would live an easy life in the human kingdom, but he was only met with criticism. People started spreading rumors that Leo must be a demon, too, because he not only defeated the demon queen singlehandedly but also came out from the battle unscathed.
This led to his exile from the human kingdom, and having nowhere else to go, he turned back to the demon empire. His story made the generals feel sympathetic and offered him a position in the army with a month’s probation.
Also, he needs to hide his identity since the queen cannot find out that Leo has been accepted into the army without her permission.
As the episode ends, Leo thinks back to his battle with Echidna. He remembers how she avoided unnecessary casualties on both sides, which made him curious about her.
He then declares that he will make the demon queen officially accept him in her army one day.
