Episode 8 Recap
Naoto enquires whether Nagatoro will serve as a model after discovering he has yet to work on portraits. Nagatoro takes a ready stance typical of her favorite martial art after Naoto instructs her to position however comfortable.
Naoto tries to give Nagatoro the paper after the coach distributes fliers for the forthcoming Judo competition at the school because she believes she would be good at it.
That Saturday, Naoto attends the gym and witnesses a boxing battle between Gamo and Nagatoro. Gamo has been staring at her long enough for Nagatoro to notice him.
Naoto requests that Nagatoro teach him jujitsu so he can compete better in this year’s competition. Nagatoro and Naoto train.Naoto is urged to try to escape by Nagatoro, but when he responds that he can’t because Nagatoro’s body is “too heavy,” she yells at him and tightens the hold. She only makes him more in awe of her.
Naoto advises Nagatoro to enter the school event because she has a high chance of winning, but she declines. Sunomiya returns to the school to assist Naoto after learning from Nagatoro’s acquaintances that he has been preparing for a recent judo competition.
Nagatoro is then informed of what is taking place, forcing her to have a look for herself. Nagatoro enters just in time to observe Naoto pinned beneath Sunomiya in a provocative posture and demands to know what Naoto is thinking.
Naoto politely declines Sunomiya’s offer to assist with his preparation for the competition, stating that Nagatoro is taking care of it in its place. The episode closes with Sunomiya watching happily as they continue to play fight until she meets up with another student who resembles her a lot, likely her sister.
