To find the pyromancer’s key in Avowed, interact with the journal beside the tent near the chest. From this, you’ll learn that the Pyromancer’s next experiment is on a ridge that overlooks Berath’s Gateway.

• Locate this ridge by looking toward the graveyard and spotting the flag atop a nearby cliff.
• To get there, head to the graveyard’s right entrance.
• Cross the small bridge to the left and follow the path up.
• Defeat enemies and continue up the path.
• When you reach the Pyromancer’s location, you’ll hear him meet his demise by bursting into flames.
• Ignore your morals and loot the Pyromancer’s body to find the key.
