Either Arthur Harrow seems to have taken an interest in Steven Grant’s inner chaos or is adamant about keeping his number one enemy close to him at all times.
In a new clip from Moon Knight, posted by IGN, Harrow gives our confused protagonist a tour through his cult-like community.
Harrow is conversing with Steven, telling him how crimes in that part of the town have reduced so much that people don’t even lock their doors at night anymore.
He then very enticingly talks about why people don’t want to hear about good news and would rather prefer to wallow in their sadness and pain.
As Steven intently listens to Harrow’s words, there’s another being lurking around. The camera moves up to Khonshu eavesdropping on their conversation—after all, someone’s got to make sure the hero doesn’t give in to the villain’s ideologies.
In all fairness, fear can be considered a driving force here, as nobody would like to have their soul sucked out by touching Harrow’s lethal staff. So it only makes sense that Harrow’s neighborhood would not act in a way that doesn’t appease him.
Harrow is the one Steven should be wary of, but it’s understandable why someone who’s confused about his own identity would trust a person like Harrow who looks like he has all the answers.
(If only Steven knew about the broken glass shards in Harrow’s sandals…)
Khonshu hasn’t been the kindest guide either as Steven is kept in the dark at all times, not knowing what happens each time Marc switches with him. Maybe Khonshu needs to let him in on the deal to keep him from being swayed by Harrow.
