Idoly Pride is a new anime, a multimedia project that includes several idol units, under CAAnimation.

AbemaTV’s livestream for the Idoly Pride multimedia idol project revealed that the anime would premiere on January 12th, 2021.
The show will air on TV and also stream on AbemaTV.

The show will be made up of 13 episodes and may probably get more seasons later on.

CAAnimation is the label, while Lerche is the animation studio. It has partnered with video content company: Avex Pictures, music creator group: Elements Garden, game developer: World Planet, and anime studio: Doga Kobo.
Fans are surprised to know about this anime, as the label has been releasing other idol projects to date.
II. Popularity of the Franchise

The trailer features Mana Nagase, Kotono Nagase and Sakura Kawasaki as they share why they want to be idols.

4. Expected Plot
Hoshimi-city lies in Kanto’s suburban region, the name chosen because the town was the best suited for observing the annual meteor shower.
Hoshimi Productions is a small entertainment agency in the city. Nagase Mana made her sensational debut from the agency by winning a series of live battles.
A few years later, Hoshimi Productions holds an audition to find new idols, including Mana’s younger sister Kotono, and her friend, Sakura Kawasaki, who has a voice just like Mana’s.
In addition to the two, more idol candidates start gathering at Hoshimi Productions. Then, ten of them start living together in a dormitory.
Meanwhile, the idol groups TRINITYAILE, who aims to surpass Mana, and LizNoir, who has a strong sense of rivalry against Mana, stand in front of them and compete with each other with pride.
With the mixed feelings surrounding Mana, the idols strive to become the best.

5. Music and Animation
I. Animation Quality
Lerche is animating Idoly Pride. It has created many great anime like Given and Assassination Classroom, so we know that the upcoming show would be nothing but the best.
The animators pulled through with the audio and visuals in Given and Idoly Pride being a musical show would be presented similarly.
The mix of CGI while playing music is very appealing. Hopefully, they keep those details in the new anime.
II. Theme Songs
There are three units and a solo artist showcased in the anime. All three of the units have released a theme song on the official YouTube channel of Idoly Pride.
The opening theme song is “IDOLY PRIDE”, while the ending theme song is “The Sun, Moon and Stars”, both performed by Hoshimi Production.
Hoshimi Production performed Shine Purity, TRINITYAiLe performed Aile to Yell, and LizNoir sang Shock Out Dance.
There is a soloist in the show Mana, but currently, there is no music related to her.
The OST has attracted many fans: music lovers, idol lovers, and now, anime lovers.
6. Fan Expectations
CAAnimation has been providing a lot of content for the Idoly Pride project, and the fans have been eagerly gulping them down.
The PV was a breakthrough for viewers who haven’t watched the streams and they seem to like how the anime looks so far.
Since this is an original anime and not based on light novels or manga or even games, the fans have no source material to compare.
Their only concern is the quality of songs and the need for the franchise to get more than 13 episodes.
