Kyono’s web manga “The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls U149” was announced to be adapted into an anime series in April. The anime has now revealed more details regarding the team and its release date.
This Sunday, on the second day of “The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Twinkle Live Constellation Graduation” event, the official Twitter released a new promotional video. The video reveals the main cast and staff; the series will arrive in April 2023.

Cygames Pictures will be handling the animation for the series. Manabu Okumoto (Mushoku Tensei: A Jobless Reincarnation) will be directing the series, with Oki Murayama working on the script.
Norie Igawa will be designing the characters for the anime, and Nippon Columbia will be composing the music.
The story essentially focuses on a group of girls aged between 9 and 12 who aspire to be idols but do not have a producer or gigs to show their talent. It does seem intriguing to see the journey of little girls (pun intended) to ultimate stardom.

The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls U149 is an upcoming anime series based on a web manga written and illustrated by Kyono and published by Cygames. The manga has been in serialization since 2016.
The story focuses on a group of girls aged between 9 and 12. U149 in the title refers to their heights, as all of them are under 149 centimeters tall. Together with their producer, who is as short as they are, the girls aim to make it big in the idol industry.
