Identity Of Traitor Among Nine Red Scabbards Revealed In One Piece Chapter 974

In the 25-year-long fight against Kaido and Orochi’s terrible regime on Wano, it was teased that the Kozuki clan has a traitor amongst their ranks. The traitor was held responsible for supplying information to Orochi to defeat any attempts to overthrow his rule.

One Piece, chapter 974, titled “Onward to Onigashima, “reveals the traitor’s true identity. Kanjuro, one of the nine red scabbards, is one who betrayed Oden, his vassals, and the entirety of Wano. He did this because he is actually of the Kurozumi clan.

The chapter starts with a chat between Kaido and Orochi about the person who has been supplying them with information about the Kozuki’s strategies. The person in question is masked with shadows but is said to have originated from the Kurozumi clan.

Fast forward 20 years to the present, we are shown the exact situation in which the flashback had started. The remainder of Oden’s vassals, in their desperation, are trying to sail to Onigashima to sneak attack and decapitate Kaido.

However, they are stopped in their tracks by Momonosuke. The obvious question which arises is – Who betrayed them? Who supplied information to Orochi about the new meetup location, which has caused their plan to fail?

While Kin’emon says, “It’s not like the traitor will reveal himself,” Kanjuro shocks everyone by admitting to having betrayed Oden. He reveals that he is Kanjuro Kurozumi and has been working with Orochi since the start. He is a master of theatre and had everyone fooled up to this moment. He supplied Orochi with information about Oden’s initial attack and has been giving him information since then. He was also the person responsible for Jack being able to find and invade Zou.

In a spit of rage, Kin’emon cuts his head off, but the entity talking in front of them was one of Kanjuro’s devil fruit art. He then is seen holding Momonosuke on one of Kaido’s ships, heading to attack the scabbards on the shore.

The next chapter will showcase a fight between the two forces, putting them on a direct route to Onigashima.
