However, after only a single page of dating, Aono-kun dies. Oh, don’t worry, he comes back as a ghost after two more pages.
I might sound nonchalant regarding this matter, but I was taken by surprise while reading it! Yuri, Aono-kun’s girlfriend becomes depressed like any other normal person. She also welcomed Aono-kun’s ghost, unlike any other normal person.
The Aono-kun ni Sawaritai kara Shinitai manga is receiving a live-action series adaptation. The series will premiere in Spring 2022.
A surprising new cast member has also been revealed for the live-action adaptation! Shori Sato, a member of the Sexy Zone boy band, will be playing the character of Ryuhei Aono.
This is not the idol’s first work as he has appeared in several dramas and movies before this. His first lead role was in the television drama, 49. He also played the main lead in the movie, Haruta & Chika.
Shori Sato has also commented that the manga was so shocking that he couldn’t sleep after reading it. Aono-kun’s ghost slowly changes and starts possessing people. However, Yuri still sees him as a kind being. This gap in perspectives is what makes the work even more unique.

Yuri proposes to her crush, Aono-kun, and he accepts to become her boyfriend. However, he dies just after two weeks of dating her. Aono-kun returns as a ghost.
However, after possessing Yuri once, Aono starts changing to become kuro-Aono-kun.
