Hunter x Hunter: Does Gon get his Nen back?

Hunter x Hunter is among the most revered anime series with a brilliant and thoughtful storyline and plot.

One of the most badass moments in the series was Gon’s Transformation into a big husky man who beat Pitou to a pulp; the best part is that he didn’t stop there.

However, the scene and the consequences of what happened to him were equal. Gon went into a Coma-like state and had unhealable wounds all over his body.

Only after Alluka healed him through the power of Nanika could he walk again. Even then, though, he wasn’t free of the repercussions that came after his transformation, as he had seemed to lose his Nen.

Gon then talked to Ging over the phone, who told him that he hadn’t lost his nen; as all living beings have it, he’d only lose the ability to control it.

Will Gon Ever Get His Nen Back?

Gon will learn to control his Nen again. He will take the help of Wing and Razor to do so and take a more disciplined approach, opposite to what he did the first time.

The first time Killua and Gon went to learn to control Nen, they only had a 24-hour window, which resulted in Wing forcefully opening their nodes, opposite to the traditional way like Zushi.

This is not the first time the duo has taken a shortcut, though; even while they were under training by Bisky, Gon took many shortcuts to achieve results faster.

This resulted in years of training in a very short time. This time, though, Gon has no such time limit; he can take his time and do things how they are meant to be.

Training in a non-rushed traditional manner will result in him getting way stronger than he was before. Not to mention, this will make Gon more disciplined, a quality he desperately needs.

Gon has always had a lot of freedom and has never been very good with following rules, looking for ways to get past them. This slow training method may make Gon a better man physically and mentally.

How Will Gon Get His Nen Back?

Gon may go under Wing’s Wing (pun intended) to do things the traditional way, as discussed above, or find another crazy strong Nen master to learn to control his Nen once more.

Razor is one of the Game Masters of Greed Island. He is in charge of the game’s emissive systems, ensuring the smooth functioning of most spells.

Razor’s net ability is made immensely clear by his title of Game Master, a title given to those who ensure that Greed Island runs smoothly, which requires a large Nen reserve.

Razor is also an Emitter, just like Gon, so he may be able to teach Gon better about Nen than someone like Kurapika, who is in a completely different class.

Leorio

Leorio is one of the most wholesome and honest characters in Hunter x Hunter and one of Gon’s most trusted friends.

The last time we saw Leorio, he landed a punch on one of the top hunters in the world, Ging. Although Ging intentionally took the hit, he still shocked most of the world with his portal-making ability.

Gon may ask Leorio for help, or Leorio may voluntarily meet Gon; seeing he is a doctor, he may be able to help Gon understand what exactly happened to him.
