ViacomCBS Networks Finally Added to Hulu’s Live TV Service

Five years after Hulu launched its Live TV service, the streamer now seems to be expanding and has included ViacomCBS’ networks to its roster. Owned by the Walt Disney Company, Hulu is home to originals like Palm Springs, Happiest Season, Ramy, Little Fires Everywhere, and the award-winning The Handmaid’s Tale.

But with the streaming service adding more content to its lineup, major success could be on the charts. Launched on April 30, nine networks of ViacomCBS will be available on Hulu+ Live TV, reports Variety

These include BET, Comedy Central, CMT, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Paramount Network, TV Land, and VH1. The price of the package remains unaltered at $64.99/month with ads and $70.99/month without ads.

Additionally, five other ViacomCBS linear networks will be available in the streamer’s Entertainment add-on package, which shall be charged an extra $7.99/month. They are BET Her, MTV2, MTV Classic, NickToons, and TeenNick.

Other channels in the package include American Heroes Channel, CNBC, Crime + Investigation, Destination America, Discovery Family, Discovery Life, DIY, Great American Country, Military History Channel, Science, and World Cooking Channel. Furthermore, under the distribution deal between Hulu and ViacomCBS, the former will add a collection of TV shows to its services, such as Freaks and Geeks, Moesha, and Sister, Sister, among others.

Considering that direct-to-consumer streaming is all the rage now, this is just another example of collaboration between business competitors. Earlier in March, ViacomCBS rebranded CBS All Access to Paramount Plus, which also saw its expansion.

Disney has been trying to push its streaming content worldwide and is also offering a discount bundle of Disney Plus, ESPN Plus, and Hulu in the US.

As of now, Hulu+ Live TV consists of more than 65 live TV channels in its basic package. Customers are also given access to the core on-demand service ($5.99/month with ads and $11.99/month without ads).
