It’s been ten years since the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami hit Japan and demolished Fukushima, Iwate, and Miyagi prefectures. The upcoming anime film, Hula Fulla Dance, will flaunt the revitalized Iwaki City in Fukushima.
The catastrophe gave Japan a big scar. Slowly but steadily, the place was rebuilt. And now to promote this win over the disaster, “Zutto Ōen Project 2011 + 10…” project was launched, comprising three anime films set in the different prefectures, Hula Fulla Dance being one of them.
Hula Fulla Dance released a new trailer and announced the film’s premiere as December 3rd, 2021.
The trailer starts with the protagonist, Hiwa Natsunagi’s monologue. She tells the watchers that she is a new employee at the Spa Resort Hawaiians hotel.
She also mentions that she will be working in the hula dance team. Hula is a captivating and beautiful Hawaiian dance style, and Hiwa is a novice in the art.
We see different shots and characters from the film, like Hiwa’s dance team and some staff of the hotel.
