Every character is well fleshed out and interesting. Although the main character Lina is an overpowered magical genius, it is entertaining to see her interactions with other cast members.

5. About Slayers

Genius and covetous sorceress Lina Inverse travel the world, taking wealth from crooks who cross her way. Her most recent casualties, a band of criminals, hold up in snare deep in the woods, yearning for vengeance.

Lina discovers them, and just as she’s about to annihilate them, the fighter Gourry Gabriev comes out of nowhere. Assuming that Lina was a damsel in distress, he takes it upon himself to save her. After defeating the thighs, Gourry decides to escort Lina to Atlas City.

However, this encounter has led Lina to a powerful magical item due to which she is now being chased by two mysterious men. Thus, Lina sets out on an adventure where the destiny of the whole world might be at stake.
