Baccano! is an anime that links the stories of a three-way train robbery called the on the Flying Pussyfoot (that’s the name of the train), a war between two mafia families. At the same time, a group of mysterious alchemists attempts to create the elixir of life and a little girl on a journey to look for her brother.
Strangely, it does all of that and more on in a 13-episode series and more without creating plot holes or having useless and boring filler episodes. Baccano! is the epitome of anime entertainment with not one, but plenty of main characters.
A show that starts off abruptly, pieces together a fantastic puzzle that joins unrelated stories together and it all makes sense! Baccano!!

The stories are put in that certain way intentionally, and rather than trying to arrange them chronologically, it is highly recommended that you follow the order in which they were released.

3. Quick Review
I. Story and Characters
Baccano! has a very unique way of story-telling. It links three stories that are totally out of sync at the beginning of the series and quickly shows the audience how they were all a part of a bigger picture.
The show is fast-paced, violent, funny. It accomplishes something so complex in just 13 episodes, and that’s the sign of a true masterpiece.
The characters of Baccano! are one of the best set of characters in all of anime. They have unique quirks, and every one of them is equally fleshed out. Their development is commendable, and even they are over-the-top, it never gets dull.
II. Animation and Sound
The animation is smooth as heck! The fast-paced action, the blunt comedic moments, the perfectly timed pauses, every single animated panel of Baccano is full of energy and life!
The soundtrack is equally good as other aspects of the anime. You’d feel the suspense, the intense light-hearted comedy, and the non-serious violence through the entirety of the soundtrack!
4. About Baccano!
Baccano! is an anime series directed by Takahiro Omori and produced by Brain’s Base, Aniplex and Movic. It was adapted from the novels of the same name.
During the early 1930s, The transcontinental train, Flying Pussyfoot, is starting its legendary journey in Chicago, which will leave a trail of blood all over the country. At the same time in New York, scientist Szilard along with his aide, Ennis are looking for missing bottles of the immortality elixir while, on the other hand, the war between mafia groups is getting worse. The several events seeming to be unrelated are the part of a much bigger story that will be merged by the kindhearted thieves, Issac and Miria.
