Street Fighter 6: How to unlock alternate outfits and outfit colors?

Street Fighter 6 has been a huge hit as it brought back iconic characters with revamped looks and new moves. Players were very impressed with how good the fighters looked both graphically and aesthetically. But a fighting game is never complete without customization and alternate outfits.

At the beginning of the game, every fighter has one outfit unlocked, which is Outfit 1. It undoubtedly looks fantastic, but players also want to shake things up and customize it the way they want to. Luckily, there are two ways to unlock alternate outfits.

The second outfit in Street Fighter 6 can be unlocked by:

  1. Purchasing it from the Goods Shop using Fighter Coins; or
  2. Earning 100 bonding points in World Tour mode by completing various tasks

Outfit colors can be purchased only through the Goods Shop.

There are a wide variety of outfit colors for every character. Some colors don’t need to be purchased as they’ll be included with the outfit itself.

It’s worth noting that both of these methods have their own upsides and downsides, which will be explained in detail below:

The fastest way to unlock outfits and outfit colors in Street Fighter 6 is by purchasing them from the Goods Shop using 50 Fighter Coins (for both outfits and colors). Even though this is the simplest and quickest way, purchasing Fighter Coins requires real money.

Unlocking all of the classic outfits requires 900 Fighter Coins, the real-world value of which adds up to approximately $23.99. Buying outfits through microtransactions is quick and simple, but it’s not the best option. If you’re not ready to spend real-world money on cosmetics, then read on below.

World Tour mode is the single-player campaign, and in it, outfits can be unlocked for free by reaching the maximum Bond level for a specific Master. It can be reached by earning 100 points, which can be earned by doing side quests, talking to Masters and sparring with them.

The only downside to this is that you’ll have to grind a lot, as all the characters won’t be available as Masters at the beginning of the campaign. So, you’ll have to progress through the game, unlock them one at a time, and then bond with them to unlock their Classic Outfits.

Here are some tips to make the grind for unlocking Classic Outfits a bit easier:

  • Spar with Masters: Don’t miss any opportunity to fight with your Master as it’ll strengthen your bond with them a lot quicker.
  • Bring them gifts: Gifting random items to Masters will grant you points but gifting them their favorite gifts will multiply the points earned and strengthen the bond.
  • Choose the best dialogue options: Whenever you’re given a dialogue option, choose the option that will give you the best outcome and earn you more bonding points.

To make the grind less time-consuming, unlock the Pay Day Perk. It can be unlocked inside the mobile phone menu; click Status and then go to the Skills Tab. You’ll find the perk on the fourth page. This perk increases the amount of “zenny” earned while doing part-time jobs, and zenny can be used to purchase gifts.

  1. How to get Gifts in Street Fighter 6?

Gifts can be purchased from a merchant called Merchant Hawker. He’ll have all the gifts you need in stock. To reach the maximum Bond level, you’ll need to give your Masters their favorite gifts 20 or more times.

Here’s a list of their favorite gifts:

  • Luke: Red Elevator 8 (Merchant Hawker in Bathers Beach, Jamaica)
  • Chun Li: Canned Herring (Shopkeeper Dora in Old Nayshall, Naysha)
  • Marisa: Cold Tomato Soup (Merchant Hawker in Fete Foraine, France)
