Bungie Added Exotic Class Items in Destiny 2 – Here is How to Get Them

This week, Destiny 2 left fans beaming with joy as it unveiled new exotic-class gear. These potent and eye-catching items of equipment are intended to improve the Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks’ gameplay and set new tactics and styles for subverting their opponents’ fundamental strategies.

Nevertheless, obtaining these prized exotics has been difficult, requiring complex mission completion, and having low drop chances. Many players have been working hard to unlock these items to enhance their gameplay in the dynamically changing Destiny 2. Here is how you can unlock these items too.

1. How to unlock Exotic Class items in Destiny 2?

1. Complete the Overthrow event in each region: The Landing, The Blooming, and The Impasse. 
2. Defeating the Overthrow boss will initiate a text in the bottom left corner of your screen stating, “A Secret-Keeper of the Witch Queen is near.”
3. Find the Secret Keeper in the nearby area and defeat them.
4. A green beacon will spawn over The Refraction, the winding area between The Landing and The Blooming.
5. Get to the Green Beacon and observe the cave system which has a light and a darkness platform.
6. Soon, two subjugator bosses will spawn nearby. Defeat them and collect the Light and Dark Orbs.
7. Place the Light Orb on the Light Platform and the Dark Orb on the Darkness Platform inside the nearby cave.
8. This action will unlock the Dual Destiny Exotic quest, which can only be completed by two players together.
9. Complete the Dual Destiny quest to acquire your Class’ Exotic Item.

2. How to complete the Overthrow Event in Destiny 2?

The Overthrow event can be completed by collecting 3000 points and defeating the Final Boss of the Overthrow event in Destiny 2. 3000 points can be acquired by hunting enemies, opening corrupted chests, and completing various available mini-events.

The mini-events offer 450 points each while opening a corrupted chest provides 100 points. After you have reached 3000 points, locate the final boss on the map marked with your ghost.

Defeating the final boss should be easy as they pose no specific or hard-to-counter skills and move sets.

3. Where to find the Secret Keeper of the Witch Queen in all Regions?

The Secret-Keeper of the Witch Queen bosses can be found at the following locations:

The Landing – The very large cave system to the right of the spawn, quite close to the entrance of the Lost Sector.

The Blooming – At the back of the map, this area is sometimes marked by a Taken eye when there’s an Overthrow event at this place.

The Impasse – The area to the right of the Lost Sector. There is mostly an Overthrow event marked here.

Nevertheless, you only need to roam and scan around the area where you are after completing the Overthrow event as the Secret-Keepers are mostly located in the vicinity.

After defeating these bosses, find the green beacon and activate the Dark and Light platforms to initiate the Dual Destiny quest.

4. How to complete the Dual Destiny mission in Destiny 2?

The Dual Destiny mission can only be completed by solving various Dark and Light Puzzles while slaying various enemies and bosses and proceeding from one area to the next until players defeat the final boss.

Note – This quest can only be played and completed by a two-man team, so make sure you have a buddy before you go out looking for exotic class items.

At the beginning of the quest, each player will be given either a Dark or Light role. While moving ahead from location to location in the mission, players will have to hit dark/light enemies and stand on dark/light platforms as per their given roles.

Furthermore, there will be various role-specific puzzle in this painfully long quest that requires coordination among players to relay role-specific information to the wingman player, allowing both to move forward.

At the end of the quest, players will have to defeat a boss after which they will be given the Exotic Class item of their individual class.

5. How to farm Exotic Class items in Destiny 2?

The Exotic Class items can be farmed by replaying the Dual Destiny exotic quest, or by acquiring them as a drop from chests in Pale Heart.

The drop rates from the chests are not very generous and you will always need a wingman to complete the quest.
