Allies are special characters who will assist you in a mission. There are 32 Allies in Rise of the Ronin. If you manage to complete a mission with every ally, you will be rewarded with the Social Climber trophy. Here’s how you can unlock every ally in Rise of the Ronin.
To unlock an Ally, you need to complete a certain mission associated with that Ally. As you progress through the story, you will keep on adding more and more Allies.
How to unlock every Ally in Rise of the Ronin?
While there are 32 Allies, your choices will affect which character will be available as an Ally. Read on to find out how to unlock every Ally:

- Deishu Takahashi – In Main Region “Edo” (Chapter 2), go to the “Military Academy” in the Kanda sub-region. Enter the academy and talk to Deishu Takahashi who has the white academy icon over his head. Play any one training fight with him.
How to check which Allies you have unlocked?
There’s a long list of Allies which can be recruited in the Rise of the Ronin. Some will be a part of the main story while others will be related to specific Bond missions.
How to check how many Allies you have so far:
- Go to the Pause menu
- Select the Bond prompt
- Press R2
- Click the D-Pad Right to browse through “Allies”
The most common Ally who is often missed is Deishu Takahashi. He can be unlocked by playing a fight at the Military Academy in Edo. However, most players end up ignoring it since going there is not a crucial step in any mission.
How to replay missions to take on new Allies?
Thanks to Mission Replay, you can play with every Ally, even if you missed out on an opportunity earlier. In Chapter 2, players will unlock the Testament of the Soul which will let you replay missions. It can be found in your Longhouse which can be frequented in between missions.
It can be confusing to keep track of every mission you have finished yet. To check your progress so far:
- Go to Testament of the Soul
- Select Ronin Missions
- Press R3 to browse through the timeline
- Complete all the missions with unexplored choices
