Powers in Starfield are skills which allow you to bend reality at will. Collecting Powers can be related to either obtaining artifacts from temples or through completing main quests. The first Power you unlock in the game is via one of the main quests in the campaign. Here’s what you need to know about it:
The first Power is unlocked after completing the main quest “Into the Unknown ” in Starfield. Once players complete it, they can unlock more powers by locating and activating more artifacts. This can be done by returning an artifact to the Lodge or the Armillary.
Returning an artifact to the Lodge or the Armillary gives you access to the corresponding temple, similar to how you do during the Into the Unknown quest which we’ll get into in a bit. At the temple, you can use the Power associated with that particular artifact.
1. How to complete “Into the Unknown” main quest in Starfield?
During the mission “Into the Unknown”, you’ll be required to visit a planet to investigate a Scanner Anomaly site. Here, you’ll be following the distortions on your scanner until you reach Temple Eta, a mysterious temple.
Once you enter the temple, you’ll start floating and find yourself in the middle of a room containing metal rings with patches of glowing lights. You need to float up to these metal rings and pass through the patches of light.
Successfully passing through these patches of light will make the light spread out across the room and the metal rings spin faster. Continue to do so until the metal rings form a portal. Enter the portal to complete the mission and obtain the Anti-Gravity Field Power.
