In the latest Crossover Stories of AC Valhalla, you’ll come across a quest by the name of “What Dreams May Come” at the Cave of Gold in the Isle of Skye.
Within this quest is a puzzle that requires you to move certain light pillars in the right direction to progress further and obtain the quest reward.
While this crossover story has been pretty good on an overall level, there’s a high chance that players might find themselves stuck in this particular puzzle – it’s a little tricky to get through, after all.
Lucky for you, I’m here to help you get through this puzzle. Let’s have a brief look at how to solve AC Valhalla’s “What Dreams May Come” light puzzle first, shall we?
To solve the light puzzle, you need to activate the two stones on the door. First, you need to direct two pillars in front of the light beam towards one stone to switch it on. Next, maneuver to the light beam – point it to the pillar, and direct that to the second stone to solve the puzzle.
It goes without saying that the puzzle and the quest have a few more things to them than just that. Making your way to these pillars is something we still need to discuss. Not to mention, there’s an item that awaits you at the end of this puzzle. Without any further ado, let’s discuss all that and more.
To find the light beam puzzle, you need to head to the Cave of Gold during the “What Dreams May Come” questline. You can find the location in the image below.
Once you’re inside the cave, follow the linear path until you get to an area full of enemies. Defeat all the enemies here, after which Kassandra would mention how her presence may have activated the artifact, and they need to solve the light beam puzzle to progress further.
Now, it’s time to solve the puzzle itself.
To start things off, head to the pillar in the back left corner of the room – you can pull this pillar into the beam of light. Once you’ve done so, head to the next point that the light beam is touching.
Now you need to direct the beam of light so that it touches one of the two door’s activation stones (the one on the right). With this, you’ve completed the first part of the puzzle.
To get the second activation stone, you need to move that wooden pillar in one of the room’s corners. Sliding the wooden rack will let you climb up and access the next light beam pillar.
Next, move this light beam pillar down and in front of you. Next, all that’s left to do is to point that pillar to the left activation stone and complete the puzzle.
With the puzzle completed, you can finally enter the door. Inside, you’ll find things belonging to Kassandra’s country – this stops her in her tracks, and she reminisces about her place. You can continue on the path, and in the next room, Eivor can finally obtain the artifact, the quest’s key-item, thus completing the questline.
