Halo Infinite is the upcoming FPS game by developers “343 Industries” and the successor to the popular Halo series. Frantic about its release, fans are not only excited to see the return of their favorite protagonist Master Chief but also dying to get their hands on the free-to-play multiplayer mode provided. But before the initial launch, 343 Industries and Xbox Game Studios have decided to test the waters and host a Multiplayer Test to test out any technical issues.
The first Multiplayer Test, a.k.a, First Halo Infinite Beta Flight Test, which had a successful run from July 29, 2021, to August 2, 2021, say a surge of signups from Halo enthusiasts ready to test the game. Now, fans are eagerly waiting for the second flight. If you’re also willing to give the test run a try but don’t know how? Here’s everything you need to know!
1. How to Sign up for Halo Infinite Multiplayer Beta Test?
To sign up for the Halo Infinite Multiplayer Beta Test, players have to sign in with their Microsoft Account to the Halo Insider page. Then all you have to do is confirm your age (must be 18 or above) and fill out a form with all your credentials. You will also need to agree to a confidentiality statement meaning you will not be able to share any details on the game with others without their permission.
Once that’s done, you have to verify your email, and voila! You’ll then be part of the Halo Insider team and might get an email or two about the Halo Infinite second flight test soon.
You can expect to have a thorough and well-balanced experience while testing the beta. You’ll be able to test out new guns, maps, the usual Arena mode, and even more advanced mechanisms. Arena PvP with 24 players, big-sized team battles, and vehicle combat mode might also be some of the highlights for the second flight test.
Remember, any errors you might encounter in the early stages of the beta run will be fixed to prevent them from happening post-launch.
2. Halo Infinite Release Date
Halo Infinite will have its official release on December 8th, 2021. The game will be available in both PC and Xbox and will support cross-play for players to enjoy the game on any platform.
3. How Will Halo Infinite Multiplayer Work?
The trailer for the multiplayer mode has already revealed that the popular Arena and Big Team Battle modes will be making a comeback for Halo Infinite. The game will also feature more modes and maps and will have a Battle Pass system to get new skins and cosmetics for your weapons.
Other than that, there has also been some rumor flying around claiming that Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer mode might even feature a Battle Royale-like mechanism.
Halo Infinite is expected to launch this December 8th, so I guess we will have to wait and see for ourselves.
4. Will Halo Infinite Have Open Beta?
While Halo Infinite is already invested in sign-up beta testing for the fans, the question about the game being available for Open Beta (open to the public without signup) is still up for debate. 343 Industries has still not confirmed whether or not they will be hosting an Open Beta for the public, but the sign-up tests are always something you can try to give a shot at.
5. Halo Infinite Beta Test Flights
Halo Infinite wanting to test out the game several times before launch led to the creation of these beta flights where playtesters could sign up and detect any errors and bugs in the game.
So far, Halo Infinite has beta tested for two flights a.k.a, the first and the second flight. The first flight which ran from July 29th to August 2nd saw a huge surge of people wanting to sign up to playtest. This led to the two-phased second flight.
The first phase of the second flight ran from September 23rd to September 27th. Now the second phase has just started on September 30th and will go on till October 4th.
Since Halo Infinite does not launch till December, who knows we might even see another flight test this November 2021.
6. Halo Infinite Beta Second Flight
After the successful testing of the first flight, Halo Infinite is once again back to playtest the second flight before launch. The second flight has been divided into two phases to accumulate more data before its official release in December.
The first phase of the second flight was launched on September 23rd and the second phase launches September 30th. However, matchmaking in the game might not be available till October 1st.
I. What to Expect in the Second Flight?
The second flight will feature the following maps and modes for players to test out:
- Arena PvP – Players can fight each other in a given arena and become the number one Arena Slayer.
- Big Team Battle – It’s a matchmaking battle for 8 versus 8 players.
- Training Mode – Players can play against bots and test out their weapon and melee skills.
- Behemoth and Fragmentation Maps – The second flight for Halo Infinite’s Beta testing will include two new maps Behemoth and Fragmentation for players to explore.
- New Customization – The second flight will also include some new customizations for weapons and vehicles and only playtesters will get a chance to experiment these new technologies for the first time.
Just like how the first flight was more weapon-centric and introduced lots of new weapons to playtest, the second flight is all about vehicles.
II. What Vehicles Can We Test in the Second Flight?
The vehicles you can probably test out in Halo Infinite Beta’s second flight are:
- Warthog
- Rocket Warthog
- Razorback
- Mongoose
- Ghost
- Chopper
- Wraith
- Wasp
- Banshee
- Scorpion
7. Will Halo Infinite Beta Have a Third Flight?
A third flight test for Halo Infinite’s beta has not yet been announced. But since the game launches on December 8th, and the second phase for the second flight ends on October 4th, it is likely the developers would make use of that time in between October and November.
Hence testing out all the servers for the game one last time before launch would be perfect. We can assume that a third flight will be held around November.
So, whether or not you’re beta testing the game or waiting for its launch, I’m sure you are just as excited for the return of Master Chief as I am. Let’s hope for the best and keep our eyes peeled this Holiday season.
