Until Dawn is a survival horror game that tests your ability to make quick decisions under pressure, each player aims to achieve the best outcome and ensures most survivors live. Players must make the right choices and strive for the best game’s multiple endings.
One such character to save, and a difficult one at that- is survivor Jessica.
1. How to Save Jessica in Until Dawn?
To save Jessica in Until Dawn Remake:
- Choose the Faster Paths during QTEs(Quick Time Events).
- Finish all the QTEs in Chapter Four.
- Stick together with Jessica in Chapter Ten.
- Catch Jessica when she falls in Chapter Ten.
Saving survivor Jessica as Matt might seem like an arduous and unrewarding task, but Jessica has a valuable position and is an important character in Until Dawn.
Along with it being to make the most of the gaming experience, saving Jessica is worth it two-fold.
2. Saving Jessica: Chapter Four
In Chapter Four, Jessica gets snatched through the window of the guest cabin by a monstrous hand in front of Mike (playable character).
Mike will be allowed to chase her through the woods and be met with a series of Quick-Time Events (QTEs) with options to choose the safe or the fast paths. Remember always to pick the faster paths (the slower ones do not allow for any mistakes, and the faster ones penalize a lot less).
If Mike makes it to Jessica lying on the elevator and she drops through the floor, it looks like she’s dead, and it’s too late. But that changes, and she will reappear later and will have successfully survived this chapter.
If Mike finds Jessica on the ground with her jaw ripped off, then it’s too late, and survivor Jessica dies.
3. Saving Jessica: Chapter Ten
If Jessica survives, she won’t reappear in the Until Dawn story until Chapter Ten. She appears in Chapter 10 while walking through the mines to escape the Wendigo (Alone or with Matt). Jessica will be given the option to run or hide.
If Matt is there now, and she is the character with him, get ready for spamming. Jessica will take a plunge and will be falling to her death.
The only way to stop this is if you keep hitting the button on the screen. This will allow Matt to catch Jessica. Also, while playing as Matt in the mine sequence, you must stick together for both to have a chance to live. Jessica dies if left alone (abandon option in-game)
