How to Prestige and Dominate in Meet Your Maker? An Easy Guide

Meet Your Maker is a first-person shooter video game that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where players must build and raid user-generated outposts that are full of traps and guards. Each level is designed by players, adding to the challenge and an exciting element of unpredictability.

Although the game’s primary objective seems clear-cut, certain aspects can be confusing for players, particularly when it comes to the concept of Prestige. This is a crucial mechanic for those who play as a builder.

To prestige in Meet Your Maker, players must build and activate an outpost, then accumulate prestige points by killing other players and earning accolades. Once they have enough points, they can upgrade their outpost with Synthite by accessing the Prestige tab in the menu.

What is prestige in Meet Your Maker?

In Meet Your Maker, prestige is a tier that is directly connected to the success of your outpost. As a builder, your goal is to create a base that can earn you the most kills and prestige points. As your outpost accumulates more kills, your prestige level increases in the game.

How to activate the outpost in Meet Your Maker?

In Meet Your Maker, players must fulfill four criteria before activating an outpost, which includes completing the harvester path, meeting the minimum defense requirement, having remaining GenMat, and having an activation slot available.

I. Harvester Path

Players must create at least one unbroken path from the exterior of their outpost to the GenMat without any drops or jumps. The path must be free of Corrosive Cubes, and the shortest available path will be used by Harvester if there is more than one unbroken path.

II. Defense requirement

Players must place guards and traps in their outposts to fulfill the minimum defense requirement. The players need to be creative so that their outpost doesn’t get easily raided by the enemy. Traps with a kill zone along the Harvester path fulfill the requirement better.

III. GenMat

Every burial site contains GenMat that is gradually extracted when the outpost is active. Once the GenMat is depleted, players cannot activate the outpost until the GenMat has been refilled, which can be done by the game’s Prestige mechanic.

IV. Activation slot

Players can only have five activated outposts at once. If they need to activate a new one, they must set one of their active outposts to inactive.

Once all the criteria have been met, players can follow these steps to activate the outpost:

Step 1: Head to your Sanctuary’s Command Center. From there, load your outpost through the Build tab.

Step 2: Once your outpost has loaded, open the pause menu. You should now be in the Activation tab of the menu.

Step 3: To activate your outpost, move left to the “active” option in the Activation tab. This will send your creation to the Raid Map, ready for other players to challenge.
