How to play as a Chaos Marine in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2?

One of the best features in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 are the different factions you can play in. Chaos is one such faction, a strong collective which is a symbol of raw force and power. Although there are different characters, players can only play as Chaos Marines. Here’s how you can play as part of the Chaos faction.

Chaos Marines

Chaos Marines are Space Marines who have become corrupt under the negative influence of the power of Chaos. These are Heretics who want to overthrow the Emperor. They are pitted against the Loyalists. When equipped with the powers of Chaos, they become frantic superhuman killing machines. Their unique fighting style in the story mode makes them a preferred choice.

How to play as Chaos in Space Marine 2?

You need to fulfill certain requirements to play as a Chaos Marine. However, it is only possible in the Eternal Wars multiplayer mode, not solo or co-op campaigns. 

Follow these steps to play as Chaos:

• Go to the Eternal Wars mode and start a match.
• The server will then place you in a group. It entirely depends on your luck whether you will be placed with the Loyalist or the Heretics. You can only play as Chaos if you are a Heretic.
• If you are a part of the Heretics, you can access characters from the Chaos faction. You can select any one of the six Chaos Chapters.
• Next, you can customize your character. Go to the Chaos Chapter and select your preferred class. 
• Click on “Heretic Astartes” to finish your color selection.
• Check your loadout and make any changes if needed.
• You can begin the match as a Chaos Marine now.

Every Chaos Marine armor has a certain role. The armor you choose will determine your role in the team.

Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 is a third-person shooter hack and slash developed by Saber Interactive. The gameplay involves fighting Tyranid hordes while interchanging between melee and shooting attacks to defend the Imperium.

Apart from the thrilling single-player campaign, the game also offers a unique cooperative mode named Operations, and three 6v6 competitive multiplayer modes called Annihilation, Seize Ground, and Capture and Control.
